3 Small Poems
Missing You
Every occasion
that you do not occupy
is wasted on me.
Fate
We might be closer
than the stars and we might be
fools of fate, because
night after night, I dream you
into my artless embrace.
Fathomless
We are fathomless,
you edge into my currents
supple as sunlight.
We are deeper than the seas
stacked on top of each other.
Rock Bottom
When the world caves in
and the walls are too immense
to ascend alone
there is nothing left but to
tunnel your way to freedom
Little Poems
Spore and Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille
Death is always fair
whoever and wherever
you are it swallows
you up, spore by spore until
there is nothing left to spawn.

And my submission for Heeding Haiku
The scent of plum heeds
my fingertips-a twig snapped-
a caress stolen.
–
we had to rewrite this poem by Chiyo-Ni
the flowering branch of the plum
gives its scent
to him who broke it off
Heeding Haiku With HA: Dreaming in Gold
1
Her soul-culling hymns
Whip the ether, thick as cream
Barefaced, Spring revives
2
Must I sway to tame
Your uprisings, puppeteer
Sigh, of unjust sighs
Does heaven answer the pangs
Of our marrow or do we

I struggle immensely with syllable based writing styles and lately more so
Heeding Haiku With HA: Spring
I am running out
Of oxygen to restrain.
Winter even though
Inundated refuses
To open her spiteful fist.

I have completely forgotten how to write tanka and haiku (I felt like an eel trying to describe a pair of pants)! There is a saying in reference to Sweden “Winter is always coming” and I believe it. Every year I feel I wait and wait for Spring to start (it seems I wait until it is technically summer lol). Though not true, from my perspective and my experience of being born to a significantly warmer climate Sweden seems to have 2 seasons. Winter which is 9 months and embodies (Winter, Autumn, and Spring) and Spring (which is what they refer to as Summer). I am trying not to hold my breath in anticipation of warmer weather but I am so eager for it.

Heeding Haiku With HA: A Change in Season and Yourself
My listless veins crack
Like a beldams’ looking glass
Malevolent frost,
Depression grapples the panes
Eclipses seasonal cheer
Mara
I have been searching
For a merciful heartache
A way to divert
The air from my unclad wounds
But it’s I who am deceived
