Wordle #63 “Exorcism”

Week 63

A crucifix pinned between the eyes,

A testimony paid your grotesqueries.

I shrug you off a surge at a time,

The rancor effervescing in the cavern

That once furnished a more cromulent smile.

I turn you out over and over again,

A reel crooning in the hexagon

Of an unissued resolve,

You are the darkness in which I feast

The terse noncommittal heart

Exorcised in the shadows of my own.

I gather my tears, viscous on settling,

Into the folds of your unwashed clothes.

A madness shared grows exponentially

And there is hardly a breath between us

Worth the sacrifice it would take to survive.

Even when face to face your void drinks me.

  1. I love these lines:
    “A testimony paid your grotesqueries.”
    “A madness shared grows exponentially”
“And there is hardly a breath between us”
“Even when face to face your void drinks me.”

  2. some pretty strong revulsion of the person. Unworth the sacrifice it would take to survive. to be tied to a person, dependent even on them, that you revile that much would be a bit of hell.

  3. This is the dark and dastardly truth, written with such talent:
    “A madness shared grows exponentially
And there is hardly a breath between us”

  4. Evocative – torrential in revulsion. Which means – this is powerfully brilliant – and screams volumes of intensity. Too many great lines to signal out – this is probably one of your stronger pieces – that I have read – because the violence of the emotion is so vivid. And excellent use of some “challenging words” – they fit the flow perfectly! Hats off to another hit Yves!
