A truculent savior, knuckles browsing
The stria of my cloistered heart.
I peel my ribs away, slackened bandages
In the custody of your cloying reversions
–
Jeans erased at the knees,
Machinations spewing from a pewter mug
Bedraggled and thrust upon
I raise the nozzle, rainbows cowering
Behind the blemish of chronology.

Oral Section of the test complete. Thursday is hours of testing. Forgive me if I am slow this week.
I love “cloying reversions”–wow.
Thanks Dell XD
Welcome.
Good luck with the testing! 🙂
Thank you Tony I could use it and a nap, a very long nap
Jeans erased at the knees, Great metaphor.
Thank you so much Kim XD
Vivid imagery! Good luck on Thursday!
Thank you on all accounts XD
The first part of the verse. The see through savior, grazing your heart with the knuckles no the tearing one self open. It’s vivid and def captures the feeling. Nicely done.
Thank you very much X =)
Good luck on your tests!
I too like the ‘Jeans erased at the knees’ –
Thanks for your kind words on ‘Catted’ –
I do have fun stuffing prompts 🙂
Thanks so much Jules XD
Wonderfully written – and fascinating.
worry not and concentrate on what you need to do – be kind and gentle with yourself – and take care of you first 😀
Thank you XD I am so stressed and my daughter seems to be getting sick with a stomach bug so I might not get to sleep the night before the exam
I hope that everything calms down – just a thought – does your daughter pick up on your anxieties and stresses – hence – manifestations of your feelings through her physical body? Just a thought.
I do think it is possible. I also think she might be hitting the part of the growth spurt where she is just really tired and feeling a little well meh. She’d been eating tons (as she does prior) but now she is just drained (usually she is really active but not at all today). I have to see how she fairs through the night and if she perks up tomorrow.
Hopefully she’ll feel more like herself – it’s a difficult growing stage – to be sure 😦
That it is
