This weeks prompt is a philosophical one, one that I hope you will spend some time pondering as I am extremely interested in your answers. Don’t worry there are no right or wrong answers and I won’t be psychoanalyzing your responses and emailing you a 12 page personality profile for the affordable price of 19.95 haha “What can change the nature of a man?” is a question posed repeatedly in my favorite game Planescape Torment by the witch Ravel Puzzlewood. When the Nameless One (the main character) finally meets up with Ravel he is faced with this question and with a list of possible answers: love, money, fame etc, all reasonable answers and though the witch is satisfied so long as you do answer there is no answer that proves correct. Ravel never reveals what she believes to be the correct answer if indeed an answer to this question even exists. Perhaps the answer is that nothing can fundamentally alter the nature of a man. I don’t know but that is what you must ponder! You can chose to focus exclusively on positive or negative change if you like.

Great prompt! I wrote a poem that is also rather dark having seen that far too often change comes to late to save relationships.

im a student. post grad/doctorate in psychology! it’s hard, kinda boring stuff. 🙂 i keep telling everyone i’m going to go back one day and get my MFA in creative writing!!
Oh wow I considered majoring in Psychology but the statistic classes discouraged me. I took the first round of Psychology statistics courses because I wanted to get into Abnormal Psychology. I have discalculia so it was a nightmare!

You can’t keep a good woman down. Lisa LOVED to dance when she was alive and she didn’t see why something as silly as death should stop her from doing what she loved…so dance she does. Her clothes are made by a living friend of hers, who knows Lisa’s size and the color and fabric that she likes to wear. Lisa hangs around nightclubs, and her old dance studio, and boogies through the alleys and on rooftops. She is as happy in death as she was in life. Every now and then she meets someone who takes her for a spin or two but most of the dead people she sees want to move on or else they have other business to attend to, so they never stayed long. Lisa is a perfect example of how to live life and how to be dead. A reporter for the DEAD RAG DAILY, asked her why she continued to stay here and she said, “My dear, when one has a true PASSION, one wants to stay until the end. This is obviously NOT the end.” Who can argue with that? So, if you’re hanging out in a really cool spot, where the music is hot, look in the nooks and crannies, for Lisa. You will recognize her by her quick steps and smooth moves…well, that and the skeleton, you know, the whole dead thing she has gong on.
