Stone Haikus

Peach_Blossom___sumi_e_by_OlegFyodorov

Eyes heavily stitched

He treads hearts like paving stones

Feigning ignorance

=

My dreams are like stones

Scattered around a bed

Of wild violets

=

The hawk-eyed sun roosts

In the east, above a gem

Embellished skyline

=

I am a lizard

You are my sun-infused stone

Rescinding winter

=

Her stonework heart holds

Fast to ascetic margins

Loneliness ensured

=

Sumi-e master

Anoints rice paper in blood

Ground from inkstone heart

=

(the 2nd one might sound strange sans explanation I am very withdrawn and daydreaming sometimes prevents me from seeing the beauty in front of me, its like a wall, I had writer’s block today and the attention span of a gnat so lol)

Day 4 Fears!

31-day-challenge

Heights

Riding a bike (I really don’t like being off the ground haha)

Centipedes

Adhesive Bandages (they are vile)

Shrimp heads (I can’t eat shrimp unless they are decapitated, fish heads don’t bother me but shrimp are so alien, those beady little bug eyes staring yeeps)

Deep Sea Creatures

Necrotizing Fasciitis and Scleroderma

Shadows (not the cute one that follows me around but those malevolent shadows which do not belong to the souls of lost humans, the demonic shadows that I saw a lot as a child)

Bathroom mirrors after I have seen a horror movie haha

Abandonment

Drunk men

Memory loss and loss of cognitive functioning from seizures

Death of a loved ones (I don’t have a negative afterlife view or anything but still)

Turning out like my father

Prompt 6 Personification

magic_mushroom_Wallpaper_ikexy

This weeks theme is Personification! Personification is the attribution of human nature or character to animals, inanimate objects, or abstract notions. By all means feel free to submit stories as I feel this prompt lends quite well to fantasy. Any type of poetry goes, even just a blog posts about your encounters with animals behaving in a human manner would work beautifully.

If you would like to submit a photograph/art piece for this challenge that also works =)

For my submission I am submitting an older poem I wrote about a sailboat. If you are wondering why the magic mushroom photo I thought it might inspire you to alter your perceptions lol
